During the annual international training course in open and minimally invasive abdominal surgery in Davos, a pilot study was conducted as part of the “Surgical PROFICIENCY Project” funded by Innosuisse Flagship Initiative. The aim of the pilot study was to test the functionality and the participant acceptance of an augmented reality environment. At 16 training stations the participants were guided through a structured exercise sequence during three exercise sessions. A self-assessment was performed. Based on recorded video data, a structured analysis is now performed.
